Stunning property with a history you should show an interets in as the staff are keen to tell you about it (ask Kevin the porter who was an absolute gentleman throughout our stay, just an asset to the hotel). Reception was warm and the room is a nice size for a city centre hotel (again because an old building, converted office space). Beds are comfortable and the best thing, no noise, complete silence (thick walls). The location is absolutely perfect for exploring New Orleans, no car needed, the StreetCar and by foot is fine. Centrally placed for Canal Street and the French Quarter (easy by foot), just 2 blocks to the StreetCar for the Garden District and we even took the Canal Street StreetCar up to City Park which was beautiful. Perfect also for a Pelicans (which we did) or Saints game, 10 block walk but totally safe. Rouse's supermarket is just a few blocks down the street also as is Enterprise which is where we picked up our car when we left. The area felt safe, not so much further up Canal Street out of town which is where we were first looking (Jung's). Fresh Coffee at reception every morning and water through the day.

Beautiful restored historical building on the edge of the financial district, a short walk to th French Quarter but peripheral enough to avoid the noise! Walking distance to all the major sites. Our room was comfortable and well appointed. However other than the bellhop the staff appeared bored and indifferent. At one point our room keycard stopped working and it took several visits to the front-desk (each time rejoining a slow queue) to resolve this, and doorstaff tended to be chatting together and distracted. It means we felt less welcomed as guests, which is a real shame in an otherwise hospitable Southern charm city. Overall we felt the hotel was good value for money and were pleased with facilities and location.

I loved everything from the decor to the drink demonstration. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. Kevin, was very helpful by providing an ample list of Black-owned restaurants in the area to try. The bathrooms on the first floor were immaculate every time I used it. I loved the scent of the hand lotion and soap. The roof top bar and pool was great to relax after a long day of sightseeing. Paul is a great and friendly bartender.

Nice stay in lovely hotel with original building’s grandeur with spacious room and bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff; concierge with a lot of useful info! Restaurant and bar on site. Walking distance from French Quarter, decent neighborhood. Had an issue with cleaning/towels, but this was resolved the same day.

Thaïs

The location was perfect! Just far enough from all the popular sites but close enough to be walkable! The architecture of the building was phenomenal and the rooms were spacious.
